Recitals

HTP Korčula offers hotel and catering services in accordance with Terms and Conditions, and on the basis of a confirmation and specification of every booking. HTP Korčula shall not be liable for circumstances beyond our control, such as wars, terrorism, insurrection and riots, strikes, natural disasters and catastrophes, epidemics, bans, restrictions by local governments, etc.

Use of website materials

All material contained on the current Internet domain is the exclusive property of HTP Korčula. The content includes text and graphic elements which may not be used without the consent of HTP Korčula. Otherwise, legal action shall be taken against the perpetrator.

If texts or images of HTP Korčula are required, users are to visit the For Agents section intended for the support and provision of materials for printed and similar publications.

Booking and payment method

Queries and bookings are accepted via our website, email, post, fax, or in person at the reception of any of our hotels and camps. By booking accommodation via this website, the user agrees to accept these Terms and Conditions in full. Therefore, everything stated hereinafter shall become binding for both the service user and HTP Korčula. When booking accommodation, the service user shall provide all required information. In order for the booking to become valid, the service user shall make a deposit or provide a valid credit card number as a guarantee of the booking. The difference shall be paid at the hotel reception before departure. All bookings made using the online booking system shall be considered valid only upon receiving a booking confirmation from the central sales office of HTP Korčula. A booking may be confirmed via email or fax. A notification/confirmation of booking has to be presented at the reception upon arrival to the hotel.

Credit card payment

HTP Korčula uses the WSpay security system for credit card authorisation. The system uses state-of-the-art technologies for protection against misuse, such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol with minimum 128-bit SSL data encryption and other technologies and security procedures of the highest standard. The exchange of sensitive data between the online payment system and authorisation centres of card companies is carried out via a virtual private network (VPN) which is fully protected against unauthorised access. Sensitive data from your credit card is delivered online, directly to the authorization centre.

Entry and transfer of personal information

Entry and transfer of personal information and credit card number are protected with the highest security standards ensured by the WSpay™ system for online credit card authorisation in accordance with the requirements of card brands and the PCI DSS standards. Credit card authorisation and payments are carried out using the WSpay™ system for credit card authorization and payments in real time.

Sojourn tax

In accordance with regulations governing the sojourn tax payments, the service user shall pay the sojourn tax when paying for the hotel accommodation. The amount of the sojourn tax in the Republic of Croatia varies depending on the season and your destination. Children under the age of 12 do not have to pay the sojourn tax, while children from 12 to 18 years of age get 50% off. The sojourn tax is paid when paying the remaining cost of the booking. The amount of paid sojourn tax is clearly expressed on the invoice issued to the user when calculating and paying for the service.

Service prices

A service price is the amount per person/day or per room/day as expressed in the price list. Additional services are not included in the price and are to be paid by the user. Additional services have to be ordered when booking. HTP Korčula reserves the right to change the prices of services at any time. For users who paid a deposit or provided an acceptable guarantee of the booking, HTP Korčula guarantees prices which were valid at the time their booking was made.

Categorisation and service description

Facilities and accommodation units of HTP Korčula have been categorized by authorised bodies of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia in accordance with applicable legal regulations.

The right of HTP Korčula to change and cancel bookings

HTP Korčula reserves the right to change a booking or service provision at any time, if circumstances beyond our control arise, or which cannot be predicted, avoided or postponed.
A confirmed accommodation unit may be replaced with an accommodation unit of the same or higher category, with the price remaining the same as the valid price at the time of the confirmation of booking, and if the guests are informed on the change in a timely manner.
In cases when replacement accommodation cannot be provided, and the booking was paid upfront, HTP Korčula reserves the right to cancel the booking and refund the entire amount paid.

Service user's right to cancellation and modification

If service users wish to change or cancel a booking, they have to do so in writing (by post, email or fax). Changes or cancellations have to be delivered to HTP Korčula 7 days before arrival at the latest.

In case of a booking cancellation, the following cancellation conditions and deadlines apply:

  • For bookings cancelled within 7 days from the beginning of the service, in case of the service user's no-show on the date of the beginning of the service, as well as for cancellations during the service use, HTP Korčula shall keep 100% of the paid booking amount.
  • In case of circumstances beyond their control, such as medical or other justified reasons, users shall deliver proof to justify the cancellation/modification of their booking.

Obligations of HTP Korčula towards service users

HTP Korčula shall continuously care about the quality of provided services, in accordance with legal regulations, the rules of the profession, and generally accepted practices and customs in tourist and catering activities.
HTP Korčula shall try to fulfil its obligations unless circumstances beyond our control arise.

Service user's obligations

The service user shall obtain and hold all required documents necessary upon arrival or departure from accommodation units of HTP Korčula. The service user shall comply with the house rules set out for each accommodation unit of HTP Korčula. The service user shall check the visa regime between the Republic of Croatia and their country before arrival, and check whether an additional travel document is required for their entry and stay in the Republic of Croatia.

Check-in, check-out, availability of accommodation units

HTP Korčula shall make the booked accommodation unit available to the user on the date of the beginning of the service at 2 p.m.

The service user shall make the accommodation unit available to HTP Korčula on the date of their departure, i.e. they will remove their belongings from the unit by 10 a.m.

If service users do not remove their belongings from the accommodation unit by 10 a.m. on the date of their departure, HTP Korčula reserves the right to charge them for an additional service.

Luggage

HTP Korčula shall not be liable for any damage, destruction, loss or theft of luggage, personal belongings or valuables while they are located in public or in common areas.
Damage, loss or theft shall immediately be reported at the reception and to the local police station.

Complaints

If service users believe that the service was provided improperly, or they are not satisfied with its quality, they can file a complaint. The complaints are to be filed in writing at the facility's reception where the service was provided. The book of complaints is always available to all service users at the facility's reception.

Jurisdiction

All disputes or arguments shall be resolved in a manner acceptable to both parties, and if no decision can be reached, the arbitration shall be performed by the competent local court.
